Health Sciences Addition

The Clinical Skills Lab is located in the Health Sciences Addition. The lab incorporates a 10-bed simulated hospital unit, examination room and classroom.


South view View of the newly renovated facility, which includes a nurse’s station and 10 bed simulated hospital unit. Students are able learn to provide nursing care in a realistic, yet safe hospital environment.

South view Suzy, a simulator designed for teaching basic nursing care, is used to facilitate the learning of many basic skills.

South view Noelle, a birthing simulator, teaches students about labor and delivery. Students are able to learn to engage in pre- and post-natal care with Noelle and her newborn baby.

South view The facility is equipped with an examination room and a 1-way mirror to enhance interviewing skills. This area is used by students enrolled in several nursing programs, including the Master of Nursing (MN) program.

South view Students are able to receive instruction in the newly renovated classroom which is incorporated into the lab facility. Material can be discussed here, then put into practice in the larger lab space.
