Clinical Education Suite

Arthur and Sonia Labatt Health Sciences Building

The Clinical Education Suite, which opened in September, 2005, is located in the Arthur and Sonia Labatt Health Sciences Building.

The suite incorporates a simulated hospital ward with nine beds, intensive care unit (ICU), nursing station, clean linen room, meds room, flushometer room, small group meeting area, and a simulated home care unit.


South view South view of the simulated hospital ward with computer-based mannequin patients. This is a nine-bed simulated hospital facility where students from a number of health professions learn to engage in basic to complex care and develop their critical thinking ability.

South view SimMan "Carl", a programmable simulated patient. “Carl” can be used to teach students about the management of complex situations.

South view Clinical suite Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with simulated patient, "Noelle", a birthing simulator used in the study of labor and delivery. Students are able to learn to engage in pre- and post-natal care with "Noelle" and her newborn baby.
