Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) Certificate Program

For applicants who hold a general class licence with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) with a graduate degree in Nursing.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

  • Graduate degree in nursing
  • Current Certificate of Registration as a registered nurse (RN)
  • B+ average in graduate nursing program
  • Equivalent of 2 years of direct nursing (RN) experience in the last five years (3,640 hours)
  • Preference will be given to Ontario residents

Applicants must present the following:

  • Two letters of recommendation (one academic and one clinical)
  • Declaration of employment hours of work
  • Complete Application and application fee
  • Two official transcripts of academic work, including Nursing graduate degree, and any other advanced degrees you may have obtained
  • Personal Essay
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Current College of Nurses of Ontario annual registration payment card. Submit your current provincial annual Certificate of Registration as well as your annual renewal when available. Your offer of admission to the Program will be conditional upon proof of obtaining a CNO Certificate of Registration.
  • Evidence of competency in English (i.e., TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB) if applicable
