Important Dates 2011-12

Any of the above deadlines below that occur on a Saturday, Sunday or a Statutory holiday will be extended to the next working day.

September 12

  • First Term: “q” quarter course begins. [first quarter]

September 16

  • Last day to add a full course, a first-term half course, or a full-year half course.
  • Last day to add a “q” quarter course.

September 23

  • Last day to drop a “q” quarter course without academic penalty. A course dropped after this date will be recorded as a failed attempt.

October 15

  • Last day to drop a first-term half course without academic penalty. A course dropped after this date will be recorded as a failed attempt.

October 24

  • First Term: “r” quarter course begins. [second quarter]

October 28

  • Last day to add an “r” quarter course.

November 4

  • Last day to drop an “r” quarter course. A course dropped after this date will be recorded as a failed attempt.

November 30

  • This is the last day to drop a full year course without academic penalty. A full year course runs from September to April (eg. Psych 1000). If you drop a full course by this date, it appears on your record as WDN (withdrawn without academic penalty). After the deadline, dropped courses are recorded as failures. In fairness to all students, the deadline is strictly enforced. Exceptions may be made if major medical or compassionate grounds arise after the deadline. To drop a course, go to the Kinesiology Academic Counselling Office. Forms are available in the office.

December 10-21

  • Exam Period

January 9

  • Classes Resume

January 13

  • Last day to add an "s" quarter course.

January 17

  • Last day to add a second-term half course, or a second-term half course.

January 20

  • Last day to drop an "s" quarter course.

January 31

  • Deadline to apply for relief against a final grade in a first-term course.

February 15

  • Last day to drop a second-term half course, or a second-term full course without academic penalty.

February 20-24

  • Reading Week

February 27

  • First Term: “T” quarter course begins. [second quarter]

March 2

  • Last day to add an "t" quarter course.

March 9

  • Last day to drop an "t" quarter course.

April 11

  • Classes End

April 14-30

  • Final Examination Period
