Hometown: London, Ontario
Program: Honors Specilization in Kinesiology (BA)
My favourite thing about Western: The many opportunities Western offers to get involved, get experience and succeed while having fun, Playing Frisbee on UC hill as a study break and the fact that our school colour is purple!
Why I chose Kinesiology: The topics we cover are near and dear to my heart such as learning how to move the body more efficiently in sport and being able to actually identify which muscle it is that is hurting after a workout is great!
My campus/community involvement: Varsity Track and Field, Summer Academic Orientation Kinesiology leader, Sport Western
The best place to study on campus: anyone who knows me knows I can be found studying in the Freshen's Smoothie place outside the Rec Centre. People have even asked me if I sleep over!
My favourite class: Cadaver Anatomy 2221 and Mathematics 1225 with Professor Pourkia. If anyone can make math fun and exciting, he can!
Best place to eat on campus: Everywhere on campus looks so good but, I always pack a good old paper bag lunch!
Best way to meet other Kinesiology students: Go to your O-Week events! Talk to people in your activity courses and labs and don't just stick with the people you know already.
Three words to describe being a Health Sciences student at Western: Interactice, rewarding, fun.
What I to be when I grow up: High school math teacher or physiotherapist
Favourite Western "postcard" location: Standing on the top row of the TD Waterhouse Stadium and over looking the track, campus and even seeing the towers of downtown London!
My favourite Western memory: Hands down spending a week at camp Ak-o-mak for the Kinesiology canoe trip!
