Preference will be given to distinguished international faculty candidates whose scholarship and distinction will contribute to and enliven the Faculty’s academic and research community. Hosting of a Scholar in Residence will rotate among the Schools and the Scholar will contribute to the activities of both the School and Faculty during his or her tenure. The Scholar-in-Residence will be expected to participate in limited teaching as a guest lecturer in the School, contribute to seminars or other scholarly activities with students, faculty, and community members, and participating in collaborative research with FHS faculty and/or postdoctoral and graduate students. Each FHS International Scholar-in-Residence will be required to give a public presentation of his/her research during the visit. The host School or Program will provide the FHS International Scholar-in-Residence with office space or other work space, as required. Nominations may be made by the School Directors.
