
A group of Health Sciences students makes it a habit to make dreams come true. The Health Sciences Dream Team has teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southwestern Ontario to enrich the lives of children in need. Read more. With the creation of the London Homelessness Outreach Network, Nursing professor Abe Oudshoorn has taken his hands-on nursing experience with London's homeless community and started coordinating the city's efforts to make an evern greater impact. Researchers in The University of Western Ontario's Faculties of Health Sciences and Social Science have come up with an inventive way to study the barriers Indigenous youth face when it comes to education. An eight-week course designed by the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging (CCAA) might be the key to better health for seniors living with diabetes. The Get Fit for Active Living exercise program is designed to help people aged 55 and older better manage their pre-diabetes or Type 2 diabetes. Read more.
