Master of Science - Occupational Therapy/PhD

The combined MScOT/PhD program is offered jointly by the School of Occupational Therapy (OT) and the Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (HRS). This exciting program is designed for exceptional students who wish to obtain both a research-based doctoral degree and professional qualifications to practice as a registered Occupational Therapist. Through the completion of an integrated, combined curriculum students will gain a foundation of academic content and hands on clinical experience in occupational therapy necessary for practicing as a professional while gaining research training and skills at the doctoral level essential for becoming an independent researcher.

The School of Occupational Therapy will offer a Master of Science (OT) degree to be taken concurrently with a PhD degree with specialization in many of the specific fields of study administered through the graduate program in HRS.  Typically, this combined program will be completed within five years, with the conferring of the MScOT degree following the fourth year (allowing students to write the national certification exam and to practice as an Occupational Therapist), and conferring of the PhD degree following the fifth year of study.

Please note that the application deadline is April 1 for September 2012 admission.  Please follow the application instructions linked below.
