Master of Clinical Sciences/Doctor of Philosphy (MClSc/PhD) Program - Hearing Science or Speech-Language Science

The combined MClSc/PhD program is offered jointly by the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) and the Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (HRS). This exciting program is the first of its kind in Canada and is designed to provide exceptional students with a minimum average of 80% the opportunity to obtain both the academic requirements required to practice as an Audiologist or a Speech-Language Pathologist in Canada and a research-based doctoral degree.

The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders will offer a Master of Clinical Science degree in either Audiology or Speech-Language Pathology concurrent with a PhD degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (Hearing Science Field or Speech and Language Science Field). Typically, this combined program will be completed within five years, with the conferring of both degrees at the end of the fifth year of study.

Students enrolled in MClSc/PhD in SLP/Speech Language Science must follow the milestone timeline specific to MClSc/PhD. In addition, students enrolled in MClSc/PhD in SLP/Speech Language Science must follow the coursework outline to complete this combined degree.  

Students enrolled in MClSc/PhD in Audiology/Hearing Science must follow the milestone timeline specific to MClSc/PhD. In addition, students enrolled in MClSc/PhD in Audiology/Hearing Science must follow the coursework outline to complete this combined degree.
