This seminar will provide an opportunity for students to explore selected topics and issues in hearing science. Students in the Hearing Science field are expected to attend this seminar throughout all years of enrollment. This course will provide an opportunity for students to explore selected topics and issues in hearing science. HS 9670 Course Outline 2012 - 2013 The goal of the comprehensive paper is to gain foundational and in-depth knowledge of several related areas that will support the student’s program of study. The student and his/his committee will establish a core set of readings that provide a foundation for the thesis topic, and support the student’s mastery of the surrounding foundational content areas. The student will prepare a thorough critical examination of the literature. The student will be required to demonstrate mastery of the literature through an evaluation to be determined by the committee, such as a written paper and/or an oral examination. The comprehensive paper should be written in accordance with established stylistic guidelines, such as APA, IEEE< or other as relevant.Hearing Science Course Descriptions
