HRS Program Requirements (Courses and Milestones)

Winter 2013 course registration is completed online through the Student Centre between December 4 and December 17. Please note that you will be automatically enrolled in seminars.

Master's

Three 0.5 credit mandatory course credits:

  • Quantitative (HS 9601) or Qualitative (HS 9602) or equivalent
         - Must have necessary background pre or co-requisites (e.g. HS 9515 - Statistics)
  • Field Based Course or Equivalent
  • Elective (Recommended by Advisory Committee)

Seminar Attendance (Milestones):

  • HRS Common Seminar - 1 term
  • Participation in Field Based Seminar - 1 year

PhD

Three 0.5 credit mandatory course credits:

  • Advanced Methods Course (700 Level) or Equivalent  
        - Must have necessary background pre or co-requisites (e.g. HS 9515, HS 9601, or HS 9602)
  • Field Based Course or Equivalent
  • Elective (Recommended by Advisory Committee)

Seminar Attendance (Milestones):

  • HRS Common Seminar - 1 term
  • Participation in Field Based Seminar - 2 years
