Exhibitor Information

The Faculty of Health Sciences - Career Directions Fair

Date: Wednesday, October 17, 2012
Time: 10:30 am to 3 pm
Location: The Great Hall in Somerville House

The purpose and goal of the Career Directions Fair is to provide exhibitors and students with the opportunity to exchange information. There is no expectation for you to accept resumes or applications at the Career Directions Fair but you may choose to do so. Many exhibitors have returned year after year to recruit and raise awareness in their field. By attending, you have an opportunity to meet and talk to students and to promote the benefits of your organization.

We understand from our students that many want to explore their options in the private and public sectors so it is important they understand what you are looking for. It is also important for students to understand the education needed for careers in the various areas of health. We promote this event to them as an opportunity to explore the credentials they would need.

Room Set-up

You will be provided with a pre-assigned eight-foot table and two chairs. There are some electrical outlets in the room so please let Kent Robinson know if you need electricity.
If you want to send any materials ahead of time, you may send them to:

  • Kent Robinson
    School of Health Studies
Arthur & Sonia Labatt Health Sciences Building Room 222
    The University of Western Ontario
    London, ON N6A 5B9

For those who need one, we will provide you with a nametag. Please let Kent Robinson know the name you wish on the tag as well as your title and organization.

Parking

We have arranged parking for you again this year. There will be an opportunity for you to drop off your materials at the beginning of the day and pick up your materials at the end of the day (if necessary) at our drop-off point -- this is the 3M lot.   When dropping off materials please let the booth attendant know you are with the Faculty of Health Sciences Career Fair. We have arranged parking spots at the University's two visitor lots -- Weldon and Alumni -- provided you arrive by 10:30 am. All these lots are located off of Lambton Drive.
Parking is available at a cost of $12 for the day at a maximum. These parking areas are located on the campus map.

Volunteer Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors will be available at 9:30 a.m. to help you bring in your display materials. They will be available again at the end of the day to help you with your display materials.

Refreshments

Food and drinks will be provided at the event by Western.

We look forward to seeing you.
