Sabbatical Housing

Each year faculty members at Western University on sabbatical travel domestically and internationally. This page is designed to list temporary Sabbatical homes available to incoming faculty members, librarians/archivists, physicians and academic visitors.

Home in Wortley Village (Voted one of Canada's best neighbourhoods)
This beautifully renovated Queen Victoria style home has hardwood floors and original oak trim throughout. 4 bedrooms: 1 w/ futon in basement + TV; 1 w/ king bed (+ crib if desired); 1 w/ queen + large desk; 1 w/ twin & double bunk bed. 2 bathrooms: 1 w/ shower + rain shower head; 1 w/ bathtub, shower, & 2 sinks.

Spacious open-concept kitchen with maple cabinetry, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, and plenty of granite counter space. Kitchen opens onto back deck with grill; small vegetable garden; 2 car garage, and stylish swing set in a lovely fenced-in backyard. Slide from the deck past raspberry bushes and into the yard (or we can remove it).

The green is a peaceful gathering place for neighbors, tree climbers, trapeze artists, soccer players, dog walkers, and tai-chi practitioners.

Washer, dryer, and upright freezer in basement; wireless Internet, wireless printer.
