We think Western is a great place to work. After all, we were selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers three years in a row. Your participation in the 2017 WE SPEAK survey can provide valuable insights to make working at Western even better. The survey will be conducted in January 2017, and we believe it is very important that we hear from you. We want to know how you feel about your work, your team or unit and your university.
More than 3000 faculty and staff members at Western took part in the first WE SPEAK Survey in 2012, and meaningful change has taken place in many areas of Western as a result. We anticipate that the 2017 survey results will provide the opportunity for leaders to use this rich data to facilitate conversation and develop plans to strengthen engagement.
The information you provide in the WE SPEAK Survey will remain confidential and anonymous. No one at Western will see your answers. To ensure this confidentiality, we have again hired Metrics@Work, a Canadian firm with extensive experience in the postsecondary sector to facilitate the survey and provide results.
The survey will take about 20 minutes of your time and is designed to provide you with an opportunity to express your views about your day-to-day work experience. It will ask you about “drivers of engagement” – things such as communications, involvement in decision-making, recognition, respect, and opportunities for learning and career development.
Your voice matters. Watch for more details as the survey approaches.
