Online Learning Program: Accessibility in Teaching

Completion of this program is required for Western’s Faculty, Graduate Teaching Assistants, Librarians and Archivists.

To access the online program, go to: http://webct.uwo.ca/webctowl.html
Select: " The University of Western Ontario "
Select: "Check Browser" to ensure your web browser settings will function properly.
Log into WebCT using your Western User ID and password.

If you have trouble accessing the WebCT program or other technical questions, please contact the ITS Helpdesk at ext. 83800.

Note: Completion of the online learning module is not required for employees who attended an in-person Western Accessibility learning session offered in 2009-2010. If this is the case for you, the WebCT program is available for optional review purposes.

Here are some resources for creating your own presentation on accessibility:

Leader Record Keeping: In-Person or Brochure Training

Training records are to be kept as per AODA requirements.

Leaders are to keep electronic records of any AODA training completed that takes place outside of Western’s online module. Using Excel, record the person’s name, date of training, and employee ID number if applicable. You will be asked to provide training records to Human Resources upon request.

Completion of online training will be recorded in the person’s Human Resource record.
