BSU Cost of Services

How much is this going to cost me?
The Biostatistical Support Unit operates on a cost-recovery basis in order to support our qualified staff. We currently charge $110.00 per hour for statistical consulting services for clients within the university environment.

There is a minimum charge of $110.00 for any consultation. Written estimates can be obtained for large projects.

Special arrangements can be made for clients who wish to use our services on a regular ongoing basis. For example, some clients purchase a consistent day per week in which a MSc - qualified statistician from the BSU is stationed in the client's environment.  This results in a reduced cost-per-hour for the client as well as the consistency of a highly qualified employee on site.

Where the methodological aspects of the study are unique and may be of interest to a faculty member of the department and where the researcher is willing, a faculty member may become involved as a collaborator in the project. Under such an arrangement, the faculty member would be a co-author on any publications and there would be no charge for his or her time.
