ENVIRONMENTAL EXPO

University Community Centre (UCC) Atrium

Students in the first-year Environmental Issues course (1021F/G) at Western and Huron University College want to invite you to the presentation of their final group projects. The Environmental Expo will be held on Wednesday April 10th, 2013 in the UCC Atrium from 9:30am to 4:00pm. This exciting exposition will include 46 compelling posters topics that confront some of the difficult environmental issues we currently face. The posters are the result of dedicated research from group members on their topic followed by collaboration to tie the complete story of each environmental issue together. The students will be available to answer any questions you might have about their projects. The topics are diverse and will educate, inspire and challenge the audience and promote conversation about these timely environmental issues.  Some of the topics you can expect to learn about are:

Environmental Science

Faculty of Science

Environmental Science at Western is a discipline within the Faculty of Science and not a Department. Students completing Environmental Science modules will earn a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science. The Environmental Science programs are offered through the Centre for Environment and Sustainability.

NOTE: The programs and the courses in this area are administered by the Undergraduate Environmental Science Advisory Committee; the joint programs (e.g., double majors) with other disciplines are co-administered by the Committee and by the relevant Department.

Articulation Agreement with Fanshawe College (October 2011)
2013-2014 UWO Academic Calendar and Articulation Agreement Document

Suitably qualified graduates (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0) from either the Environmental Technology or Science Laboratory Technology diploma programs offered by Fanshawe College may be admitted to Western with a maximum of 9.0 transfer credits, and complete either a three- or four-year degree at Western, choosing specific modules in Environmental Science (which may be combined with additional specific modules in Chemistry).

Western graduates with either a three- or four-year degree, which includes a module in Environmental Science and specific courses, may be admitted to Fanshawe College and complete a diploma, in either Environmental Technology or Science Laboratory Technology, in a period of approximately twelve months.
