The Environment & Sustainability Student Society (ESS)

The Environment and Sustainability Society is a group within the Centre for Environment and Sustainability at The University of Western Ontario that enables graduate students to learn from each other beyond the classroom. This group was initiated in September 2010 and has developed an infrastructure for it to continue on from year to year. We focus on harnessing our interdisciplinary backgrounds to find innovative and inspiring ways to take action on our campus, in the community and on our planet. By participating in ESS we have been able to share our expertise and offer different perspectives on the challenges we face as responsible citizens. The ESS has weekly scheduled meetings and a formal board of executive members. All students from the Centre for Environment and Sustainability are invited to participate as volunteers.
