From Mary Shelley's Frankenstein to ridley Scott's Blade Runner, a consideration of the history and development of science fiction. Will include science fiction themes such as the Other, new technologies, chaos theory, cybermetics, paradoxes of space/time travel, first contact, and alien worlds.
