Fall Half Course.
This course will focus on theoretical and methodological questions and concerns raised by Indigenous knowledges and cultural practices. Students will consider Indigenous visual, performative, and textual materials from Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Topics for discussion may include ecological perspectives in Indigenous literatures, Indigenous representations of sexuality and kinship relations, the role of testimonial discourses in relation to Indigenous cultural practices and the formation of Indigenous knowledges in the context of decolonization.
