SOGS Awards and Subsidies

125th Anniversary Scholarship
Value: $1250
Deadline: April
More information: Two scholarships are available for Master's students and two for PhD students; applicants will be judged based on academic performance as well as contribution to the academic community. See

Peggy Collins Memorial Award
Value: $1000, depending on funds available
Deadline: October
More information: Awarded to a part-time graduate student; preference will be given to individuals who are in the workforce full-time; have family commitments; and are involved in the community at Western or the community at large. Please see the SOGS website for details.

Graduate Student Teaching Awards
Value: $500
