My teaching and research focuses on the poetry and prose of sixteenth- and seventeenth-century England. I’m particularly interested in early modern women’s writing, food studies, ecocriticism, and the early modern instructional manual, including recipe books (manuscript and print), and husbandry and military manuals. I also have an interest in creative writing, especially poetry.
