Bacteria-mineral interactions; Life in extreme environments; Astrobiology; The role of bacteria in the formation of ore deposits; Bacterial signatures in metal exploration; Acid Mine Drainage; Bioremediation of metal pollution; The control of green house gas emissions via bacterial carbonation reactions; The biogeochemistry of gold.
