Research Interests

Research focusses on: a) geochemistry and mineralogy of gold, nickel, and platinum-group elements through laboratory experimentation and study of ore minerals and ore deposits; b) the synthesis, structural chemistry and atomic bonding in crystalline silicates, phosphates, sulfides, analogue materials, and synthetic glasses; c) high-pressure silicates; d) crystal chemistry of transition metals, and e) synchrotron radiation XANES spectroscopy.
