DISCOVER TROIS-PISTOLES (Map)
Founded over 300 years ago on a wide bluff overlooking the St. Lawrence River, Trois-Pistoles is situated in the heart of the Lower St. Lawrence, which is the most francophone region of Québec. Trois-Pistoles is located on the south shore, 2 hours east of Québec City. Past participants in our program have discovered that Trois-Pistoles' small size (4,000 inhabitants) makes contact with francophones easy. They have also been charmed by the vibrant, yet quiet and safe atmosphere of this lovely harbour town. Trois-Pistoles offers all the modern day conveniences such as: a hospital, dental and optical clinics, banks, and railway and bus stations.
Participants in our program will discover they have many opportunities to speak French anywhere and anytime (with their host families, in restaurants, at the post office, in businesses, and while participating in the many recreational activities, to name but a few) during their stay with us. In fact, the whole town is your campus.
