The program at Trois-Pistoles offers a variety of activities and events that allow each student to practice their French and to experience the Québécois culture. No matter what level of French you begin with, everyone is at Trois-Pistoles with the same goal in mind and there is always someone to answer your questions. Choosing Trois-Pistoles was a great decision for me. After meeting and conversing with people in another language, my ability to speak French and my confidence in that ability has improved immensely. Staying with a Trois-Pistoles family adds a whole new level of being immersed in this amazing French community and allowed me to meet a great group of people. It has been a wonderfully unique experience that I am glad to have been a part of.

Western University's French immersion program in Trois-Pistoles is amazing. I was shocked at how quickly one can begin speaking another language when put in an immersion setting. My comprehension improved greatly after just the first week. Trois-Pistoles is more than just a language school. I've had one of the best experiences of my life being here. I hope to return.

What an amazing program! I've actually learned a lot of French and met a lot of amazing people from around the world. The school had an amazing and entertaining staff and we could look forward to a variety of fun sports and activities every day. I had a great host family and the food was out of this world. There is so much to do here! We were always made aware of the variety of activities and opportunities. We swam near waterfalls, listened to Québécois music and ate delicious poutine. At the beginning of the first week, I understood less than half of what the professor said but now at the end of the fifth week, I understand almost everything. There is a course for every level and I would recommend this program to anyone who wants a complete Québécois immersion experience.
