Kadie Ward

Kadie Ward has worked in various marketing, communications and public relations roles since launching her career as a partner at Pensells Copywriting. She has held positions with Western University, Media Management Inc., and The London Chamber of Commerce. Kadie has a Masters in Media Studies and a Bachelor of Arts from Western University. Passionate about the community, Kadie is a member of several boards including MainStreet London, The Canadian Club of London, and The Ontario Chamber of Commerce. She is also an active member of several professional associations, such as the International Association for Business Communications, Canadian Communications Association, as well as the Canadian Marketing Association.


 

Holly Doty has spent 10 years building an Event Management & Public Relations company, Connect Dot,  that is intended to share best practices and roads to success for organizations that require solid event and association management services.  She has immaculate skills in keeping projects on time and on budget and specializes in managing committees while ensuring ultimate success.  Holly has been involved with strategic event management and development solutions for national associations such as the Sunshine Foundation and Easter Seals.  She has worked with The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, as well as government funded organizations including the London Economic Development Corporation, Regional HIV/AIDS Connection and TechAlliance. Holly has an Honours B.A. in English Language and Literature from Western University and a postgraduate certificate in Business Management from Georgian College.  Holly is also fluent in French and English.

Elaine Gamble has almost 20 years of experience in public sector communications and public affairs. She is currently employed as the Managing Director of Corporate Communications for the City of London. Prior to joining the City in 2007, Elaine worked for Legal Aid Ontario as Director of Communications and Public Affairs. Elaine previously served in several other senior communications roles within the Ontario Government’s Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Ministry of Transportation and Francophone Affairs. She has completed the Queen’s School of Business Leadership Program and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Translation and a Certificate in Professional and Technical Writing from Glendon College, York University. Ms. Gamble is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and her work has been recognized with several awards

Nancy Hutton is the Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communications and spokesperson for London Hydro and has been employed by London Hydro for more than 20 years.  Nancy is actively involved in Public Relations on many levels. She is an Accredited Member of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) and is currently the President of the Hamilton Society of CPRS serving Hamilton and Southwestern Ontario.  Nancy participates in a number of provincial communication committees and volunteers her time in other areas.

Cynthia Lockrey is the owner of Lockrey Communications. A storyteller by nature, she creates dynamic and innovative media campaigns for clients across North America. Cynthia was actively involved in the lead up to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games while working as the Senior Manager, Media Relations for the City of Richmond, a Venue City. During the Olympics, Cynthia welcomed media from around the world as the media centre manager for Richmond’s live celebration site.
Prior to moving to BC, Cynthia was the Manager of Corporate Communications for the City of London where she was created a number of award winning media campaigns. It is through her over 15 years of experience as a professional communicator, journalist and newspaper editor that she helps organizations avoid common pitfalls and develop positive relationships with the media. Cynthia now resides in Sarnia, Ontario and is a regular speaker at conferences across Canada, a corporate trainer and a university instructor. 

Michele Martin is a Communications Consultant in the Corporate Communications and Public Relations department, providing strategic communications counsel and public relations advice to leaders in the Corporate Non-Clinical services. Michele brings over 20 years experience in the health care industry in the areas of sales, marketing, training and communications and public relations. Most recently, she was Director of Communications at the Ivey Centre for Health Innovation and Leadership. Previously she was the Manager of Communications and Public Relations with Lawson Health Research Institute in London for 13 years.  
Michele holds an Honours Bachelor of Sciences along with a postgraduate certificate in Marketing and Communications from Western University.    In 2007, Michele received her Accreditation from the International Association of Business Communicators - a designation that only 5% of business communicators around the world hold.

David Morelli has nearly 25 years of experience as an award-winning journalist and senior communications professional. He is currently Director, Public Affairs for Tim Hortons Inc. Previously, David was Vice President at Cohn & Wolfe, a leading communications consulting firm in Toronto, where he led the technology practice and the agency's social media counsel. Prior to that, David was manager, U.S. and global communications for technology company 3Com Corp., and a senior consultant at Environics Communications.  For ten years, David was a reporter/photographer with various daily newspapers, including Hamilton Spectator, Edmonton Journal and Windsor Star.  David holds a bachelor of applied arts in journalism from Ryerson University. He was also a part-time instructor at Mohawk College in Hamilton, teaching social media to post graduate students. For the past four years, he has been a judge for the Canadian Public Relations Society national awards and for three years chaired the judges’ panel for CPRS Hamilton's annual Pinnacle Awards.

Jo Ann Robinson is an IABC Accredited Buisness Communicator (ABC) and senior public relations strategist at ON Communication Inc.She has more than 15 years of experience in electronic communication, media relations, public relations writing, research and issues management. Jo Ann began her career in the oil patch in Calgary where she worked as a public relations advisor and primary media contact for the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers – the oil and gas industry’s powerful lobby group. Since moving to London in 2005, she has put her experience to work for organizations such as Syngenta Seeds Canada, BASF Canada, Sifton Properties Ltd., the Network for Business Sustainability, Youth Opportunities Unlimited and the Ascent Group of Companies. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Communication in Public Relations from Mount Royal University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Calgary. 

Shawna Van Esch is the Corporate Communications Manager for Citibank Canada, supporting multiple businesses within Citi Canada including Citi Cards, Global Transaction services, Global Markets, Global Banking and Citi Private Bank. Shawna has been with Citi for nearly five years where she has taken on increasingly senior roles involving internal communications, community relations, public relations and event planning. Shawna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Information Technoculture and Sociology from Western University and a diploma in Public Relations from Continuing Studies at Western University. Shawna is an active member of the London International Association for Business Communications and assists with the annual IABC Virtuoso awards gala.

Jennifer Wilson is an established Graphic Designer with Lashbrook Marketing and Public Relations. Using artistic flair and copious amounts of creativity, Jennifer takes projects from ordinary to extraordinary for organizations such as Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre, Children’s Aid Society of London & Middlesex and Ronald McDonald House. Working with each client individually, she uses her exceptional intuition to create insightful solutions that communicate with success. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Ecology with a specialization in Family Studies from Western University and an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design from Fanshawe College.
