What is pedorthics?
A pedorthist is someone trained and certified in the assessment, design, manufacture, fit, and modification of foot appliances and footwear with the goal of alleviating debilitating foot conditions.
When does it start?
The program begins in the fall of each year and courses are offered during the Fall, Winter, and Spring Terms. Taught by professionals in the field, our diploma courses prepare you for your career and the certification exam. The hands-on work placements add valuable experience to your degree.
Where is it?
This is an online program that allows the flexibility to complete the courses anywhere and anytime. Award Winning Program The Diploma in Pedorthics is the winner of the 2008/2009 Award for Program Excellence from CAUCE (Canadian Association for University Continuing Education). Programs are judged according to the value or service the program provides to students and partners; the degree of complexity in program development; whether the program is innovative, imaginative or unique in terms of its overall concept or curriculum; and whether the program offers innovative ways to deliver content or to support students. In 2008 the Diploma in Pedorthics was also the winner of the U.S. based LERN (Learning Resource Network) Award for Best Programming.
