Continuing Studies Instructor Payroll Information

Our goal at Continuing Studies is to provide you with the best employment experience. We encourage you to visit my Human Resources (our online system where your personal employment information is securely stored) and provide us with important data. You can also access your pay and benefit information there anytime. Just go to www.uwo.ca/humanresources, and look for the my Human Resources link.

How to login

You will need your Western user ID and password:
New employees: Use the user ID and password that you receive through Continuing Studies on or shortly after your start date.

If you are an existing instructor and your don't know your Western user ID or password, you can contact the Computer Accounts Office at 519-661-2111 ext 83800 to retrieve.

Why it is important you login to my Human Resources?

The information you provide and update on my Human Resources allows your pay and other important material to reach you on time. Here is the information we will ask you to provide, and keep up to date.
Provide the following information now:
• Your current home address
• Bank information for direct deposit of pay
• Information to establish personal tax credits (for correct tax deduction)
• Voluntarily complete an Employment Equity  Survey

You can also use my Human Resources to:
• See and print details of your earnings
• View your benefit and pension coverage
• Inform us of any name changes
If you do not provide banking details by your first pay, a cheque will be produced and mailed to your home address on file. To ensure timely payment, we ask that you provide bank account information as soon as possible. In order to have accurate withholding tax on your pays, you are asked to establish Personal Tax Credits before your first pay.

Payroll Schedule

Western has a weekly and a monthly payroll.  Most instructors will be paid weekly.  Weekly pay runs two weeks after your start date.  For example, if you taught your first class was between September 12 and September 16, you will receive your first pay, Friday, September 30. 

If a Continuing Studies instructor receives monthly pay from another University department, their Continuing Studies pay will be included in one monthly pay.on the second last banking day of the month.
