General Guidelines

 

Registration: Conference registration on Friday November 3th will take place in the foyer of The Wave, in the University Community Center (UCC), from 6:00 to 8:00pm, during the informal Mixer - this is the location for registration Friday night only. Registration the morning of Saturday November 4th will be outside of the McKellar Room, UCC. You will be able to pick up your conference packages at these times.

Oral Presentations:  Oral presentations are scheduled for 20 minutes each. This includes a few minutes for questions and/or discussion and to prepare the next presentation for projection. Timelines will be strictly enforced.

Poster Presentations:  Posters must have a maximum dimension of 4ft x 4ft.  Posters must be this size or smaller, since several posters will share a single poster board.  Out of consideration for your colleagues, please do not exceed these dimensions.

The poster presentation will take place after oral presentations and before supper on Saturday, November 4th in the Great Hall, Somerville House located near the UCC.

Coffee Breaks: Coffee breaks will be held outside of the McKellar room. Please note the sponsors for these refreshments.

Lunch:  A luncheon at The Wave restaurant, adjacent to the lecture hall, will be provided for all registrants on Saturday, November 4th.    Attendees are responsible for their own lunch on Sunday, November 5.

Dinner:  A conference banquet in the Great Hall, Somerville House, will be included with your registration and will take place Saturday evening.

Bus Transport: The conference will organize a shuttle bus service in the morning and evening between the Station Park Inn, Delta Hotel and the conference site.  More details to follow shortly.

Parking:  Free parking is available after 5pm on Friday in the Springett Lot.  You are welcome to leave your vehicle in this lot and use the shuttle buses (provided) or public transit (bus pass provided) for gettting around. 

Paid parking ($4.00) is available at various lots on campus. Those choosing this option must have $1.00 or $2.00 coins available to activate the automatic entrance.
