Rev. Karen Low offers a creative ministry of compassion and radical welcome, providing a wide variety of pastoral skills, dedicated to outreach, social justice, inclusivity and accessibility, faithful to the teachings of Christ and the ethos of the United Church of Canada. She regards all of life as a spiritual journey and considers on-campus chaplaincy as a privileged opportunity to assist students, faculty and staff to make sense of the environment in which they currently find themselves and to help to provide the spiritual tools / direction to enable and empower others to get the most out of their university experience, relating it to the Spirit that brings purpose and fullness to all of life.
Firmly grounded in her own tradition, and practitioner of various spiritual disciplines Rev. Low is able to offer a wide variety of perspectives from which to approach spiritual growth. Karen's overall objective is to provide a place and presence of welcome, emphasizing those things that develop and nurture inclusive community wherein the Spirit at the heart of life can be explored, celebrated and shared. With an open door, attentive ear, and compassionate heart, she strives to make a difference, one conversation, one event, one gathering at a time...
