Ball Workshop for Fitness Leaders (BALL)   

In this workshop participants will learn to include small balls into their functional mobility programs for both higher and lower functioning older adults. All participants will receive a ball with their registration.


Functional Fitness for Older Adults (FFOA)    

Designed for staff working in long-term care facilities, retirement residences and adult day program leaders who want to learn how to instruct appropriate physical activities for residents/clients.


Get Fit for Active Living (GFAL), GFAL-Diabetes, Facilitator Training    

An 8-week education and exercise program designed to introduce older adults to the benefits of an active lifestyle. A facilitator training course and adults with pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes course is also offered.


Home Support Exercise Program (HSEP), HSEP Facilitator Training     

An evidence-based in-home exercise program designed to enhance and maintain functional fitness, mobility, balance and independence. A facilitator training course is also offered.


Restorative Care Education Training (RCET)    

Ideal for staff and those interested in working in long-term care facilities. Learn how to develop an effective restorative aide program with an emphasis on mobility, transfers, eating, and communication.


Seniors Fitness Instructor Course (SFIC)   

A 36-hour certification program for anyone (older adults, young adults, and volunteers) who wants to learn how to design and lead effective fitness classes for seniors. A 16-hour fast-track training courses is also offered.


Tiered Exercise Program (TEP), TEP Facilitator Training     

Three evidence-based, 10-exercise physical activity programs for older adults who are either chair-bound, have transfer ability, or are ambulatory


Training for the Trainer      

A course ideal for individuals with a desire to facilitate the growth and development of the CCAA’s leadership training programs.
