Why did you start exercising? I didn't just start exercising, I've always been quite active, but about 20 years ago when I was in my late 50s a friend who was attending CCAA recommended the program and I thought I'd try it.
Why did you choose the CCAA? I chose the CCAA because it's close to my home. I can walk to and from the Centre. I also needed the discipline of a regular program- same time, same days.
Favourite thing about the CCAA? I love the great instructors and the social aspect.
How do you stay motivated? I stay motivated because that's what I do every Monday, Wednesday and Friday almost without fail.
Advice to others considering starting an exercise program? Exercise is so important, especially when we're all living so long, not only for our bodies, but also for our minds. If I'm going to live to 100 I want to be vigorous and alert mentally and physically. Once you start you really do have more energy.
