How does your choice of module determine the degree you will receive?
A degree contains first-year courses, a module(s) and options. Western offers three types of regular undergraduate Bachelor degrees: Honors Bachelor (4-year); Bachelor 4-year; and Bachelor 3-year. The Honors Bachelor degree requires higher marks (70% or higher).
The building block of a degree is the module -- for each degree type a certain module or combination of modules is required. The Degree Structure Chart below summarizes the approved module combinations for the three Bachelor degree types. This modular degree structure affords you the opportunity to combine various subjects from different departments and faculties.
