If you want to study the basic medical sciences, how does your choice of module(s) define your degree as a Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) or a Bachelor of Science (BSc)?

The type of module (e.g. Honors Specialization, Major) and the department offering the module (e.g. Biology or Biochemistry) will determine whether the degree is a BMSc or BSc degree. Academic performance determines whether a student can pursue an Honors Bachelor or 4-year Bachelor degree -- the Honors degree requires higher marks.

Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) Degree....

If you choose to pursue an Honors Bachelor degree containing one of the Honors Specialization modules or two of the Majors listed below, your degree will be a BMSc Honors degree.

Studying a single Major or Minor(s) from the Basic Medical Sciences...

Students may pursue one Major or Minor(s) module offered by the Basic Medical Science departments in programs of study leading to BA, BSc, BHSc or other degrees. For example, a Major in Biology and a Major in Physiology will lead to a BSc degree (Honors, if marks are appropriate).
