The Society of Biology Graduate Students (SOBGS) represents the interests of the graduate students in the Department of Biology. The purpose of this society is to provide graduate students with a recognized organization through which they may voice their opinions and concerns. Executive members of SOBGS act as advocates on various departmental and university-wide committees, and help create a sense of community for graduate students in the Department of Biology. Please see Part II of the graduate handbook for details on SOBGS bylaws and descriptions of executive duties. The handbook also provides useful information pertinent to graduate student life in the Department of Biology. Please take the time to look through this document!
