Herbarium - Crataegus Collection

As a result of research collecting by Dr. Phipps, the Hawthorn (Crataegus family Rosaceae) collection contains over 10,000 specimens from all parts of North America including Mexico. Crataegus is the largest and most taxonomically complex of woody plant genera in North America. The UWO Crataegus collection is one of the largest on this continent and includes a number of type specimens in the genus.
