There is a well equipped microbiological preparation area including autoclaves, steamers, dry heat incubators, fridges, freezers, etc. as well as UV sterilized transfer rooms, containment hoods, and growth rooms with shakers. We maintain both algal (approx. 160 isolates) and fungal (approx. 600 isolates) culture collections
We maintain a fully equipped Level 1 cell culture lab with laminar flow clean benches, CO2 water-jacketed incubators, inverted phase microscopes, fridges, freezers, -80 freezers and preparative equipment including autoclaves, pH meters, etc. Several research labs maintain specialized culture facilities specific to their needs.
