Two Post Doctoral positions

Two Post Doctoral positions (three years each) are open in the laboratory of Dr. Shiva Singh (Neurogenomics program) at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada to undertake comprehensive research on Copy Number Variations. The suitable candidate will have completed a Ph.D. research on related field supported by publications. He/she will have experience in nucleic acid quantitation, human genomics and bioinformatics.

These positions will be funded through a research grant from Canadian Institute of Health Research. Neurogenomics program (http://www.uwo.ca/biology/Faculty/singh/index.htm) deals with genetic determinants of complex behavioral disorders that include Schizophrenia, Alcoholism and Fetal alcohol Syndrome and covers the aspect of genomics and epigenomics. It has a critical mass of collaborators and expertise including the London Regional Genomics Centre (LRGC), SHARCNET computing facilities and The Centre for Applied Genomics (TCAG, Toronto) allowing the candidate to gain expertise in the most modern aspect of human (epi)genomics.

The University of Western Ontario (http://www.uwo.ca), located in London, Ontario (http://www.london.ca/) on highway 401 between Toronto and Detroit has easy international access. London is a dynamic community with excellent educational institutions and health care system. There is a concentration of hospitals, university and research institutes, which offers extensive potential for interactions , particularly in the field of biomedical sciences.
