The Early Researcher Award program (ERA) awards the excellence of the researcher’s accomplishments, based on academic and employment record, research grants and awards received, publications and other examples of research productivity. The ERA program acknowledges the current standing and potential for excellence in the research field based on research plans and external letters of reference.

- 1995-1997 Kendall-Mayo Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
This fellowship was awarded on the basis of a peer-reviewed research proposal prepared by KA Hill and provided up to two years salary while pursuing postdoctoral research at the May Clinic.
