Life on Campus

Depending on your interests, you could find yourself organizing an art exhibition, performing in a theatre production or collaborating on various written publications highlighting the talents of your peers. Perhaps you are the adventurous type and wish to take your studies to new heights through an exchange program abroad.

The opportunities are endless for expressing your creativity, mastering new skills and working collaboratively with your professors and your peers. The experience of an Arts and Humanities student reaches far beyond the classroom as you expand your horizons and learn without limits.

Activities

Arts & Humanities Clubs and Groups

As a first year student there are also many opportunities to get your work published and to share your work with the world. Such publications include: Bon a Tirer in the Department of Visual Art and The Rusty Toque in the Program in Writing, Rhetoric and Professional Communication.

Cronyn Observatory

The Hume Cronyn Memorial Observatory is located on campus and is used extensively for undergraduate Astronomy laboratories. The observatory is open to the public Saturday evenings throughout the year and is an amazing way to see the stars and interact with astronomers in person. Western Film

Take a break from studying and catch a movie with some friends! Western Film is an independent , second run movie theatre with affordable student pricing. VISIT WEBSITE


Sports and Recreation

Western boasts many varsity sports teams and recreational opportunities. Take in a popular Western Mustang’s football game or cheer on our hockey and basketball teams! Where to Eat

McIntosh Gallery

The McIntosh Gallery is the second oldest university art gallery in Canada housing a permanent collection that includes over 3000 works in various media dating primarily from the early 19th century to the present. Some 600 works are located throughout the University, part of everyday life on campus. Pop in for a visit and check out what’s happening behind the red doors. VISIT WEBSITE


Theatre Western

Theatre Western is a student-run production company supported by the University Students' Council at the University of Western Ontario. Theatre Western produces shows of the highest professional quality, including full length musical and non-musical dramatic productions, as well as student-written one-act plays. VISIT WEBSITE
