Publications

Get published with the Arts and Humanities Students’ Council! Being published is a great addition to your resume or portfolio and the publications also make great gifts and keepsakes.

Foreshadow is the Arts and Humanities' introductory newsletter for the school year. Pick up a copy in the student council office (UC 112F).

Premier is our collection of first-year essays that received a grade of 80% or above.  It also has many helpful essay writing tips and tricks and other academic resources. 

Propaganda is an annual creative arts journal. We accept submissions of poetry, short fiction, drama scripts, photography, artwork or any other creative work from Western University students.  There is a 1500 word maximum for writing pieces and all visual art needs to be submitted in high resolution format. Submissions will be due in January and can be sent to ahscpublications@gmail.com.

The Semi Colon is an annual journal for undergraduate essays written for classes in the faculty of Arts and Humanities. Essays submitted need to have received an A-grade (80% or above) and are selected according to anonymous ranking by an interdisciplinary professor review board. Submissions will be due in March and can be sent to ahscpublications@gmail.com.
