In addition to research, Dr. Lala has been a highly regarded teacher of human developmental anatomy courses to medical students at McGill University (1968-1983) and the University of Western Ontario (1983-present). He has also taught graduate courses on the hemopoietic and immune systems, cancer and developmental biology. Currently he offers the course on applied developmental anatomy to the fourth-year medical students (transition period) at the University of Western Ontario. This course is highly ranked by students and Dr. Lala has repeatedly won Awards of Teaching Excellence of the University Students’ Council.
