1) Graduate Student Expectations (M.Sc. or Ph.D. positions):

- Persons who are interested graduates with an Hon. B.Sc. in one of the medical sciences with a GPA of about 3.5 or higher are welcome to apply
- Preference for M.Sc. student positions will be given to those students who desire to complete a Ph.D. in the future

2) Postdoctoral Fellowship Expectations:
Positions are available to study:
- Mechanisms underlying connexin skin diseases
- Mechanisms associated with the transport, assembly, and turnover of wild-type and disease-relevant connexin mutants
- Successful applicants will have a major input into the design and execution of his/her research project
- While funding for these positions has been secured, successful applicants will be encouraged to apply for independent post-doctoral fellowships
- These postdoctoral fellows will join a team of Gap Junction Researchers consisting of four independent laboratories in newly renovated space complemented with new instrumentation in state-of-the-art imaging
- Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree, and preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, cancer biology or high-resolution time-lapse imaging of fluorescent protein-tagged molecules in live cells
- Duration is 2-3 years for this position
