Internship Project: Identify cytokine markers for the progression of the disease in the viral subtypes local to Uganda

Michael Fraser, born in Sarnia, Ontario, is going into 4th year of an Honours Specialization in Microbiology and Immunology with Minor in Pharmacology at Western University. Interested in global healthcare systems and the different perspectives to combatting disease as a result of resources and infrastructure. Currently studying HIV at the Joint Clinical Research Centre in Uganda. An aspiring physician, with a hope to one day, be an orthopedic surgeon and do work in developing countries with Doctors Without Borders or similar initiatives.
