PhD Candidate, the University of Western Ontario
Daniel Bechard has been a student at the University of Western Ontario since 1999. He completed his B.A. (Hon) and MSc. in the school of Kinesiology where he focused on sport biomechanics. Currently he is in the final stages of his Ph.D in the department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences where he currently focuses on rehabilitation biomechanics. His thesis work centres on methods of reducing knee joint loading in individuals with knee osteoarthritis under the supervision of Dr. Trevor Birmingham (Physio Therapy) and Dr. Thomas Jenkyn (Engineering). Dan also works with the University of Western Ontario and Canadian National Women’s Rowing Teams.
